Facilities Information:

The department of Mathematics and the Center of Excellence in Mathematics, with their department head Assistant Prof. Thanasak Mouktonglang and dedicated staffs provide all practical and professional support for research events; seminars, conferences as well as meetings, in both national and international scales. For example, the department has hosted the 56th IMO 2015 - International Mathematical Olympiad competition with more than 2,500 participants from around the world and the 22nd AMM 2017- Annual Meeting in Mathematics with more than 2,500 participants from around the nation. The main events take place in the Mathematics Building 01 and 02 which have an array of lecture theatres and many communal areas to facilitate small-scale scientific interactions. The campus has extensive facilities including restaurants, shops and the Chiang Mai University’s Arts Centre as well as a thriving intellectual atmosphere. Chiang Mai University offers on-campus accommodation to visiting researchers. Private accommodation is also conveniently available in walkable distance to the campus.
